A friend of mine took this a few days ago at a local airshow. Considering how he doesn't have a forum account he asked me if I could post it here for him. I think it turned out great but I was wondering what others have to say.

    D3s & 70-200 AF-S, ISO 100, F/5, 1/640. No PP, just crop.

I like it, when I shot the last airshow around here I noticed the only shots I liked were when the aircraft was tilted towards me. When the sun/sky illuminated the top of the plane. I have so many shots of half shadowed planes. The next time I will only take pictured when they're coming in the direction that isnt shadowed.

The main reason I like this shot over a lot of airshow pics I've seen before, is the fact that it's dynamic. The angle, the smoke and the fire coming out of the back with a bit of a trail, really add to the "motion."

A different crop is really interesting indeed.
