I like the first. Nice detail, well spotted, nicely detached by choice of aperture.
The second doesn't say anything to me, too close, too narrow an aperture, I simply don't know what I'm looking at, and the few colours and blown out line don't help things any for me, either.
The third has too narrow a DOF for my liking, too. Texture is good on wood and metal that ARE in focus, but I feel there's too little of it in focus.
Same with four.
There is only one way towards that colour and that is GO IN THAT DIRECTION :thumbup:

i suppose sometimes i get wrapped up in making something look out of the ordinary and it goes a bit too far =P
