Ha! Sounds to me more like Zonealarm is trying to sell software. A SCHEDULED virus???? I'll stick with my free software, thank you.

Oh heck yeah. There have been thousands of these. It's a line of code in the virus that makes it execute at a specific time. It's most handy for zombie DoS (denial of service) attacks. Basically infected computers don't seem infected until a specific date and time. Then the virus is activated, and every infected computer is told by the virus to start pinging a certain website with very large packets, over and over and over. That's called a ping flood attack and it causes the server to overload and eventually shut down, if it's not blocked correctly. However, I don't know what use a virus would have to simply delete files at a specified date...
