Any Views?

I hope that I am posting these in the right place. I just thought I would try to get some views on a couple of picture that I took a while back. They are both of my niece on a day trip out.
The first was cropped and converted to black and white only and is called:

The second was cropped only and is called:

I really like #1. Very well done!

In the second her gaze is a bit too "spaced off" for my taste - but that may well be just me.

The first is actually my favorite. I thought it was nice to be able to use the tyre as a frame. She was looking through it and I just called her and pressed that button.

I like the fact that the second is not posed, but I feel that it was have been nice if I could have gotten a little more eye contact from her.

But all views and comments are welcome, with out them, I have not guide as to how to improve.
