Anyone been on a photo tour?

I've been contemplating going on a photography only type tour to either somewhere in the US or overseas (Africa?) .

Just wondering if anyone has done them, where did you go and was it worth the money?

I go on weekly photo safaris.
Last weekend was Detroit.
In two weeks it will be the penitentary that the "Shaw Shank Redemption" was filmed in.

No trips for me. I m still new enough to this that a drive down the road could be my next shoot!
