I currently have a Canon Rebel 35mm camera and would LOVE to get a digital version but the price is too much for me! If I could buy it without lenses that would save me a lot of money. Obviously I don't know much about this yet so my question is are the 35mm and digital lenses interchangeable?

    Welcome to the forum.

These types of lenses have what is called the 'mount'. That's the part that attaches to the camera...which includes the electrical contacts.

Luckily for you, all Canon EF lenses will fit onto any Canon EOS camera...film or digital. So yes, you can buy a digital EOS body and use the same lenses that you use on your EOS Rebel film camera.

Just a quick note: EF-S lenses are different from EF lenses and ARE NOT compatible with 35mm.
