Are these 2 photos any good? One is very bright - cover your eyes!

Okay, before I print the first one, I 'd like to get ya'lls opinion. (hey, I'm from the South). I like the composition and I like the B+W, should more PP be done on it?

Now, again I like the image of my son, and yes, I am quite aware of the blow out. And I think that is what I like most about this image. However, is there an opinion to maybe remove the colors at his chest and also the girl's head from the back of his neck? If this is considered high key, does it work.
