I have an Asahi Pentax K1000 with 50 mm lens & was wondering what the value of it was & any suggestions on the best place to sell it. Thanks in advance

It won't have a lot of dollar value, but they are a very nice camera. Sturdy, basic and prized for being a great starter film camera even today.

Check sold listings on ebay for an idea. Last time I checked, a clean, working K1000 with lens would go for anything between $45-100, with some going for more. K1000 | eBay

A bit surprising, actually. Five years ago, it might have gotten $25, but there's been a bit of a film revival recently, so prices have likely gone up in response.

"A 50mm lens" is rather ambiguous, too. The price depends on whether this is an Asahi Pentax SMC f/1.4 or a JCPenney f/2.

And as with all thing, condition is king.
