at the begining

Hi there. I'm new in this forum, so hello to all .

I'm here because I just bought a new camera Pentax K100D, I was at a party, I took some pictures and I have some questions.
For example I took a photo: http://193.226.7.219/hirohito/ and like you can see the faces of peoples has a kind of spots. I was thinking that the quality of the photos could be better. The lens are 18-55mm kit lens. I want some advices. For obtaining better photos in a light like that what do I need? Thanks

It is what we call noise. It probably resulted from using a high ISO setting on the camera. Keep the ISO setting low and you will go a long way toward improving image quality.
