Athens is an ugly city with little charm. The only garden we came across was just trees and a vastly overpopulated turtle pond. It's just sprawl and graffiti. We stumbled on a few really bad areas, a few great areas, and a few tourist trap areas.

That being said, we did quite enjoy it. It was a bit reminiscent of Florence, where you can just walk for blocks blocks and discover new boutiques and shops and food.

This collection is from my Nikon D800 and Google Pixel.

yeah, it's a cool city. Just a shame that it fell victim to sprawl and it's incredibly sad that a city with so much history has little left to show of it -- the architecture is ugly, there's no parks/monuments, etc.

What timing ... I just watched the movie, "Gladiator", for about the 6th time last night. Love the land scape shots the best but all pics are very nice. Good shooting and tfs.

I was in Athens for a day trip many moons ago. Can't remember much about it. Seems you caught the best of it albeit a few years ago.

Great film and the wonderful Oliver Reeds last. He was some boy.

Thanks for reminding me 2020 sucked! Was supposed to do two weeks in Portugal and Spain. When we can finally go, it'll be three weeks now.
