I just received my Canon 24-105 today, but am a little concerned. Here's what happens:
1) The camera is powered off and the lens is retracted all the way to
24mm.
2) When I turn the camera on, there is a clicking sound coming from the
lens and the auto focus mode (whichever mode it is set to) on the top
LCD flashes.
3) I rotate the zoom ring slightly (not even to 35mm) and it stops.
This doesn't happen every single time, but it happens most of the time. Also, when the AF mode is flashing, the aperture flashes between whatever it was set to last and 0.0. I think it is safe to assume that it is something to do with the auto focus since this doesn't happen when the AF switch is in the manual focus position.
Ideas anyone?
Thanks
