According to several sources (see: SpaceWeather.com -- News and information about meteor showers, solar flares, auroras, and near-Earth asteroids and Potent Solar Flare Today — Auroras Tomorrow? | Sky & Telescope there's a good chance that there will be auroras further south than we usually see them. So the CME (coronal mass ejection) may arrive at Earth on Thursday, with possible 'aftershocks' going into the weekend. Anyone who is interested in seeing these should be keeping an eye out, as well as checking the Spaceweather site for updates. I know I'm going to be looking!
