Great pics! I keep telling you all, we have NOTHING like Mandarin Ducks around these parts! I can't get enough of looking at them! Got any Kingfishers?! Another favorite I don't see around here.

Yes we have Kingfishers, but doggonnit they are about the most skittish of all. Most shots I have gotten have been too far away.

I do wonder where the Mandarins (specific) come from. Kinda weird.

Got any Kingfishers?! Another favorite I don't see around here.

I wonder where Danny is (the guy from Newzealand), he almost exclusively shot kingfishers with his manual 800mm beast of a lens! Been a real long time since I've seen him post here..
