backdrops and stands for in home studio

Hi all,
I am looking to purchase some backdrops and stands to use in my soon to be finished in home studio. Any advise on brand or what to look for?
the width of the room is 15', height is 8'. I'll be using it for children portraits and small groups.

You didn't say what kind of lighting you will be using but with an 8 foot ceiling I'd think really hard about hanging every thing off the ceiling. This will save you a half a head of gray hair worrying about kids running past all your expensive equipment and knocking it over. as well as making exposures amazingly simple.

My plan for now is to hang lights off the ceiling. I have not decided which brand yet, your comments are welcome.

I also would like for some of the backdrops and stands to be portable for location work.
