Can anyone suggest a good back up program that can be used to back up to an external hard drive? I prefer a free one, or low priced program.

I tried the SeaGate back up prgram, but it keeps leaving off any hidden files. I prefer that when I do a back up EVERYTHING is being backed up, not just what the program allows.

Maybe I'm being paranoid...but that s just me.

you might want to post the type of your computer: Apple/Mac, Windows, Linux (your login does say "GIMP").

Also what are you after in a backup program? If you're just copying your photos folder to an external hard disk then simply copying it using "cp -au" (linux command copies preserving attributes and only copying of the destination is older than the source) is more than enough

    Thanks for the replies everyone!

I'm running Windows XP. The Gimp in my name refers to something else.

I will check out true image and see.

    Thanks All
