i like the mood in this shot, if you shoot with a phone i don't think you have to then try to make it look good in editing after. photos taken by phones should be blurry, fast and have an element of photo journalism. perhaps you can go back to this location with better equipment later and focus on the reflection of the trees in the water. also try some shots to get the entire pond and go at different times of the year. enjoy.

If you don't have the funds to take a course, go to your local library. They have many interesting books from which to learn the basics from the bottom up.
