I was very surprised to be able to get this shot to come out. Across the way behind the one above this young one landed in a nice pine tree but of course the sun was behind it. A 1.5 stop adjustment and I was able to at least get a shot of it. More for the record than anything else.

A little farther down the trail I found the other adult in this shot (way out there) and it was being chased by an Osprey which I didn't get in the shot. I found the Osprey nest with the other adult it in so I guess they are protecting the area. I'll post the nest in another post.

The first two Bold Eagle shots are gorgeous.

great, these birds are actually accessible, really nice the way you build up the viewers understanding with the birds, always impressive
 
Do you think they would be offended if they knew we call them "bald"? :D

I love the first two shots as well! Very nice, makes me want to see more from you!
 
The only time i've ever been that close was at the zoo !!!!
