The diagonals are excellent. Harsh lighting and grainy texture goes along with the idea. You might also try another one, with smoother tones, maybe convert to b/w. You'd need a more diffuse light source to take it in the other direction. The key at the bottom of the trough, lucky accident or placed purposely?
