    Ummm okay. I don't really know what that is. Looks pretty weird. What is it?
    I don't really have anything critical to say about it though because I've got no idea what it is. Almost looks like a sort of fleshy plate coral.

    yeah, this photo is un-critiqueable in my opinion. i cant even tell what you are trying to say with the picture, if you are trying to say something at all

    I am not trying to say anything, just asking the question; do you, or do you not think this example of nature is beautiful. ie the natural patterns in the structure of the wing. And (I think) a reasonable subject for a photogragh


    What is it ?

    Its the wing of a Skate (raja erinacea) a small cousin of the sting ray, and is eaten with chips or a salad. Hence the scorched edges.

    Well, this is one more case of "beauty in the eye of the beholder", for personally, I am not too entranced by this...
