Baseball at Night - How is the noise?

Shot these last Saturday night in raw mode. Sharpened to 50 in PS the default was 25
How is the noise?

1) 1000 iso

2) 1600 iso

3) 1600 iso

The only place I really see it is in the first one. A little bit in the second, hardly any in the third.

What camera are you using?

* really jealous that you were down at a 'Canes game!

1DMIIn, 70-200 F4L and handheld, also #s 1 & 2 where shot thru the net

With #1 is the noise mostly in the face, I think it may print fine

I’ve shot at night before at UM, but I don’t recall doing any sharpening in PS, and remember having more noise

I can see it quite clearly in both the first and second photos; the third is a little better.

Also, I disagree with you; I think the majority of the noise in the first picture can be seen in those banners behind the pitcher.

Well that is a good thing because I was think more about areas that would effect the main subject, but yes defiantly some it the banners
