    is there a way in Photoshop to have a bunch of pictures processed with a certain action, WITHOUT having to press play(on action) for every single picture?

    THis is taking away too much time from me! :)

    File -> Automate -> Batch.

    You may want to record an Open, Save, and Close in your action and then redirect the batch processor to a folder or files by overwriting the Open and Close actions.

    I find that you may have to play around with your action to fix this. Sometimes it works better when you specify a different destination folder--just make a new one and try it with a few images.
    Other times I've had to go back in and re-record the action, maybe add the save into the action to the new folder....you'll need to experiment.

    Also File-> Scripts-> Image Processor

    EDIT: Are you talking about the jpeg box popping up? I think Image Processor will deal with that, but I can remember years ago I'd just weight down the Enter button. :)
