Bathurst Aussie V8's

Had a fantastic 5 days at Bathurst!!
If you like motorsport its the place to go, 4 days from 7.30am - 5.30pm with 10minute brakes in between.
The track is 6.2ks long, and a 161m elevation change.
Its a 1000k race, so much happened in the race. The guy that won led the last half a lap, and started last!!

Nice series of images. I've always loved watching the V8 Supercars, I think it's the most exciting element of motorsports. Some of these drivers would push the Nascar drivers around on these tracks. Marcos Ambrose is leaving Nascar at the end of the season and heading back to drive in this series for 2015.

Nice set. Bathurst is definitely on my bucket list -- those guys always put on a great show.

I love Aussie V8s, and that track especially. Some of the tracks they run on have no business hosting cars that fast, but that course is wonderful. A couple of years ago American TV covered our Darrell Waltrip being taken around for a lap. Poor guy screamed like a little girl in the twisties on the mountain!



That track is modeled in Gran Turismo 6 on the PlayStation3 and is great fun to drive! I've probably killed myself 100 times up there!
