Battery Question

I want to buy a couple of extra batteries for my D60. Is it ok to use an aftermarket or should I buy the actual Nikon batteries? The aftermarkets are considerably cheaper. I just don't want to mess up my camera some how. Thanks

I have a mix of both off brand and Canon ones, and they all seem to work fine.

Six of the eight batteries I have for my Canon bodies are Sterlingtek. I have never had a problem with them, they hold a charge longer than the Canon batteries and are considerably cheaper.
