Well since the polls are closed and I didn't come anywhere close to winning, I thought I'd go ahead and post my pic now. Since I didn't get any votes, I figured I'd at least get a pat on the back, a thumbs up, anything. I really thought this was a good picture but about 80 other people thought different. Btw, this is the San Jacinto Battleground Site.

This is the one I entered:

And this is just a vertical one:

    Any comments?

Its a pretty cool picture. The Monument reminds me of the washington monument.

Is it right that monument is a bit of balance or some?

Yeah it reminds me of that too Killer.

I think it's my fault it's a little off balance. A lot of the pictures I took came out a little crooked. I corrected some of them but not all obviously, lol.

that's a great shot, i like the symmetry... i think a polarizer may have helped the clouds pop a little which might have made the sky a little more dramatic considering there is so much of it in the frame... but still a nice shot, don't get discouraged, there was just a lot of competition in the contest last month - keep at it! ;)

Yes, there was more competition than I could handle! That's for the encouraging words though!

I'll get around to getting a polarizer...one of these days.
