Battous Abstracts

#1 is cool. I really like the simplicity of it - that's what I go for in my shots a lot of the time.

The colors are nice and smooth too. I'm assuming it's just a close-up of bokeh, but how did you isolate the bokeh from any other surroundings? Care to share the technique?

Distance in the darkness with manual focus. The firedepartment was a full lob wedge away, About a hundred yards give or take. From that range the lights are all you can see, then you ignore everything you ever learned about focusing and do it all backwards. :mrgreen:
 
I'm never usually impressed with abstract photos until I hear what they're of, how the photographer took them, and what they were trying to achieve.

Great job — slowly, I love it :)
