    Hi,

I am new to this forum and just wanted some advice. I live in Transylvania and photograph a lot of wild flowers and everyday life in and around the village. However, when on the meadow near my house I often see deer and buzzard. However, on this occasion a brown bear made an appearance! I was at about 400 metres, but my cousin's camera nor mine have the capability to get a good shot at that distance. Any advice on what kit to buy second hand on as low a budget as possible for reasonable quality shots?

    Thanks in advance Paul

The bear was heading our way so we didn't hand around for long!

    Welcome to the forum.

What camera do you have now? What is your 'low budget'?

    Hi Mike,

I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-H3 with lens interchange. I am going to have to start from scratch. I don't really want to spend more than a few hundred pounds.

    Cheers, Paul
