Beatiful white faced little kids

HI guys,

Brand new to photography as well as the forum. I have however started playing around with my camera and editing on photoshop.
Can someone please tell me how the pro's get the bright colours of clothing with the pale faced kids.
As soon as i start messing with the colours my people turns yellow!
and does someone know the name of this technique?

Help Please

The easiest way that I know of, is to use photoshop to mask off the skin areas before adjusting vibrance and saturation. That keeps the skin tones uneffected.

If you have a correct white balance, your colors will naturally pop, then you can pop them a little more by selectively applying saturation.
