Nice composition and colors. I do not think that it is soft, but there is considerable amount of noise in the image - EXIF info shows it was shot at ISO 1250. With the shutter speed at 1/500 second (f/5.6) I think you had some room to decrease the ISO and not be impacted by camera or subject motion.

Thanks...I'm still getting used to the new Nikon system, I didn't think it was soft either but I'll agree with the noise
