I own a D5000 and have been shooting for over a year now i dont have a flash, just two lenses..... i think :blushing: lol.. But here are a few recent pics Ive taken..

Critiques are more than welcome, I use my initials as my Watermark/Signature but would like to have opinions on that too.. I was also thinking about adding a black border to the outside of the pictures but i dunno???

Check em out, take em apart, critique..

p.s. the iso is way off on a few

And im not sure if this size picture works.. lemme know if i need to resize

That white lambo makes me horny.... :)

A little tight on the crops for most of 'em.

Seems like you and I have a lot in common as far as where we were at when we joined this forum. I, like you have been shooting over a year. When I joined I was extremely one dimensional. I only shot portraits, and in this short time this forum had really opened me up to so many other things and how to do them right. I really like the first 2 images out of all of them. A little more contrast on number two maybe, but I like it either way.

Thanks for the help bro, What could i have done to add more contrast?? Would that be in editing?
I want to get into portraits and more photos but im sticking to inanimate for now lol..
our equipment is almost identical, I have a d5000 tho, but I have the same lenses

Contrast is in editing. I'd say any program you choose to use can do it. They don't all need it, but the ones that you think look flat will benefit from it.

Yea ill get used to the editing with practice

I like a lot of the shots, hate a lot of the cropping.

And yea, as i keep goin back through the pictures the cropping is quickly becoming irritating :grumpy:.. Is there usually a rule of thumb or standard to cropping? Even if not ill definetely use it sparringly
