Beginner Photographer

You have the benefit that many of us did not have when we were learning (I'm still learning), in that digital cameras give you instant feedback on what you shoot. I went through many, many, many rolls of film...much of it wasted, when I was first learning. The more you shoot, and the more you play with shutter and aperture settings, the better you'll get.

Some advice a friend gave me in my early days: Don't always trust your camera's suggested settings. The camera wants every shot to look perfectly lit. You want every shot to look great. Those two demands don't always match up.
