Took this quick photo yesterday of my dog bentley.

It's another dog picture of a dog without sparkling eyes. ;/

that is one thing i have always wonder should a dogs eyes sparkle?

I guess sparkling eyes would help and maybe a darker background too.

Bentley is a cute dog, no doubt, and photogenic, too.
But the focus should not be on the nose but on the eyes. So in the future you would either want to go for a stop or two down or focus on the eyes and then having the nose just this wee bit blurred, which wouldn't matter, but does matter when the blur is on the eyes, I think.

On the other hand he does have a sparkly nose....

Looks like a Schnauzer! I would tend to wait until he was groomed or comb and cut the hair around his eyes so that they are more visible.

yeah he is actually getting groomed today so I am going to take a few photos tonight.
