I'm trying to find a replacement for my Canon 28-135 IS USM. I'm looking for something wider and better (optical quality of the 100mm Macro if possible).

I was looking into the following options (L glass is not within my budget at the moment):

    Canon 20/2.8
    Canon 24/2.8
    Sigma 18-50/2.8
    Sigma 20/1.8
    Sigma 20-40/2.8
    Sigma 17-35/2.8-4.0
    Tamron 17-35/2.8
    Tamron 17-50/2.8

    I have the Tamron 17-35 f/2.8~4. I love it.

Is this for digital or film? As the crop factor for digital makes a difference. The wide Tokina has had some really good reviews for a 3rd party lens. Might look into them as well. I have Sigma 24-70 f/2.8 but will get the Tokina AT-X 12-24 f/4.0 for my wide lens. This is for a 20D camera.
