    IR shot...but it's hard to tell with the b/w conversion and not being able to see faces. Sorry I missed his feet. He was on the move :D

    Was IR really neccessary to get this effect/feel? Or could it have been achieved without IR as well?

    IR gives you a great range of tones for b/w. In the color version, the IR is very apparent, with the white hay bail, and the blue sky. But the color version didn't convey the same feeling.

    Great shoot!!!.I love the mood in this photograph. I’m noob here and my B&W don not even look close like yours . Could you tell me what IR is and if you edited this pic in PS? Thanks in advance.

    IR stands for infrared. Aside from the b/w conversion in PS, the only other thing done was a slight vignette was added. There's lots of IR info on the web.
