Big Sur, California

I may have posted a couple of these before, but I thought I'd put the whole series up online. These were taken last summer driving through Big Sur, California on a loooooong drive down the Highway 1 (beautiful!).

These are awesome. I remember seeing them before and they really are great. You captured the beauty of the place and did a stellar job of doing so. I really need to go. Being from Scotland (I go to school in Edinburgh), how does Big Sur compare to, say, the Isle of Skye if you've been? I've been up to Loch Ness and down through Glencoe and such, but never to the west coast of Scotland. I plan on trying to get over there some time this summer.

Never been to Skye, but it's definitely on the list of places to go :wink:

Big Sur is really quite breathtaking, but personally I preferred the scenery in Glencoe... Maybe I just got better light, or maybe it's the patriot in me, I'm no sure...

Those pics of Glencoe are great. I was up on a tour so I only got out at one lookout spot in Glencoe, and it was raining all day. Oh well, that's Scotland for you. I think I'm going to have to do a bit of a hike through the Isle of Skye this summer. And I'll have to get back to Glencoe someday soon.
