Bird from chainlink fence

I took this photo when I was testing out my Canon 75-300 IS USM lens. This was shot through a chainlink fence... almost like chicken wire, but I'm please it blured out enough to be almost not noticable.

nice, i can only barely see the fence and only because you mentioned it. the large blur from the leaves in front is kind of distracting though. maybe if there was a larger depth of field and eveything was in focus all the same? i dunno, im a newbie so im just talking about my ass. cute bird though

This was at maximum zoom (300mm). I could crop the photo I suppose.

Longer DOF would have shown the fence more, which was to be avoided, right? But a simple crop can help a lot (I wish I had ever managed to get such a good and close up bird photo in my life!) - and then you must put this picture into the "Birds"-theme in the Themes Section, ok???

This was almost at full zoom (285mm) and at the widest apature of f5.6.
