Birds of prey portraits

    I had to make some shots of the birds for the website of the birdman.....so i did :)

    #1 Snowy Owl

    #4 African Fish Eagle

    #5 Bateleur Eagle (with a visible nictitating membrane)

    #6 Bateleur Eagle (younger version, the head is allready getting a bit of black in it. With a few years it will look like the above version)

    This thread is lacking in the Heron department.

    Just have to love those Bateleurs, beautiful birds

    Thanks for having my back Bob :thumbup: And thanks for the compliment too :)
    And im sorry LP, but ill try to make some heron shots next time im in Artis (loads of the buggers there) And those bateleurs are truly magnificant birds. I havent seen the adult fly yet, but once i do you can bet there will be alot of pictures of it :)

    These were shot with a Sigma 70-300 4-5.6 and some sunlight.
