Birds

was out the other day and there was alot of birds flying around.
i was trying to get close to them to use a wide angle lens, but they kept flying away before i could get there, so I took some with my 300mm lens.
tis a fraction of the amount of birds that were flying around though.

I saw a documentary about flocks a while back, they were trying to program the flight patterns of hundreds of little arrows to look like a flock but couldnt stop them crashing into each other! Until one guy decided to program a lead arrow and programmed all the others to follow it and not crash into each other, suddenly they acted like a flock

A totally pointless bit of computer modelling trivia, but hey, the image provoked a memory
