Composition is nice, but the lighting did not work on your favor.

I like it quite a bit as it is, mostly so your composition, a little off centre, but all in all very close - portrait-like close even! The light was harsh, but that helped throw the background into black only, which makes the soft ears and mane and eye lashes stand out. The only nitpick I have (and I guess it is caused by the light, too) is that what ought to be black is blue... but I guess that's how his/her coat looked in the light.
