This was taken from a blind early one morning.
300mm afs f4, tc-14e, nikon f80, provia 100f
Very nice. Most shots I have of this the neck is not extended. The lighting is just super. As is the one legged pose.

Never seen, much less heard of a Black Crowned Night Heron before. A delightful picture, as the red of its eye stands out so much. Wonderful!

If it was hunting, I am glad you used it for photography!
Oooooo, I like that shot!! The bird stands out so crisply against the dark background, and I like the, ummm, texture of the rock on which it's posed.
