The ultimate in having a bad hair day! It is not only aircraft that you do not stand behind on take-off!

Great tit taking off nearly blowing the head off a Goldfnch about to make a quick exit in the opposite direction.

It happens at speed - the 40D shoots at 6 frames a second! This was on the far right side of the next frame!
iso 1600 - f2.8 and 1/2000th and it still does not freeze action on a small bird!

That first one is sooooo funny!! Really neat to see the male flying away with spread wings, and the female dealing with the 'prop wash'.
