    1, 2 & 6 for me

    1) can't beat an A10

    2) good ol' Fat Albert

    6) thats the best shot of an F18 I've seen

    BTW clean that sensor :lol:

    Can you provide more info on lens, distance etc. These are fantastic!

    Canon 5D, 400mm f4.0 IS DO lens with a 1.4 teleconverter for 560 total mm. ISO 200. shots varied from f8 to f11, 1/500 to 1/1000 sec. Focus was manual on infinity. Distance varied rapidly :lol: I was right on the waterfront, so as close as you could get. Maybe 300 yards at closest approach? I suppose I could calculate it since I know how long the aircraft are. I'll have to think about that.

    That sounds like math to me. The info you provided is plenty to get the idea. I missed our airshow this year, but next year I'll be back (hopefully) with digital to get my right-side sunburn.

    I have to agree, these are spectacular shots. Just amazing, I've been looking at these for about 1/2 hour now.
