Blue in a Green Forest

I'm slowly learning to use my new Digital Rebel (kit lens) and on a recent hike through a wildlife observation trail, I tried to pick out areas of different color in the forest. This color is artificial, but I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. Any comments? I took about 100 photos on the trail, and I saved probably 20. Hurrah for digital!

It's probably a marker used to designate the trail path. Different colors designate different paths, and sometimes rate the difficulty as well.

Treehugger is right, it's a trail marker. It's not a very heavily-used trail so sometimes it's hard to stay on the right track.
