I am having a hell of a time understanding Resolution, pixels ect ect I knew I would thats why I was so late getting into digital ( I miss my slides) LOL
ANYWAY, when I upload an image to photobucket it takes a while. Someone said to just make the image smaller which I did. Yeah it loaded faster. But looking at it ,it looks like theres an outline of the bird?? Not sure if it's my montor or not, so posting it here for ya'll to help.

Oh, I use Adobe Photoshop Elements.

Hmm. I kind of see the halo, too. And it is a bit pixely. But for some reason, coupled with the darkness and the bird's expression, I think it adds to the image!

Oh. I followed the link in your signature. That kind of things makes me furious! Animal cruelty is the stupidest things humans do (in my books). And humanity has quite a list of stupid things to their name.

(sorry for hijacking your post... I just had to comment...)

could it be to do with the way photobucket resizes?

what happens when you reduce the size in element when you use the save to web function

    The shot looks good.

I do see a "halo" and it looks pixelated but that may be the way Photobucket resizes and stores pictures.

If the halo was there when you downloaded it from the camera, then it might be a resolution issue with the camera/card. If not, then I'd blame it on Photobucket.

It is a great image. The colours are right on. Im on a laptop, and the only issue I see with the resolution is the feathers seem a little soft on the head and there is a slight halo. Still a great shot tho.:thumbup:
