The usual pub sign in the UK is a hand-painted board illustrating the name of the establishment. This pub, on a Blackpool pier, went for a more US approach to signage. I liked the colours here, and the composition (I think) fell into place fairly well.

I really like this one....very simple, well composed, strong (primary) colours, and lots of 'lines'. Then there are little added bits of interest like the peeling paint, the grain of the wood, wires etc. Well spotted and captured, tb2. I always look forward to seeing your shots.

Thanks Antarctican. I've photographed this sign before but never been happy with the outcome. This time I felt the small patch of yellow on the left made the shot work better.

Regards, Tony

You may be right...I scrolled up and down to block out the extra yellow, and it does kind of add a 'balance' and additional bit of interest to the photo.
