BMX riders?

There's a gig on tomorrow at my local skate park, and also a bmx comp.
I was thinking about taking some photos with my Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6G from the stands.
Any recommendation on which settings to use for constant riding bmx riders in bright sunlight?

Whoops, Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6G.

Try and get out the stands for some shots also. With a 300mm you have some good reach. Use the lens hood. If you want to freeze the action a fast shutter speed is the ticket.
