Dan, those are some excellent sailing shots!!! Wow. Really nice compositions. Sailors love those closeup shots of the crew on the rail. Well done. I like the 'rays' in the last shot too.

Indeed: you WERE at the right place at the right time!
And therefore you captured a good many really interesting photos.
Apart from the last, which I think about "everyone" will like a lot, I also really like Photos 1 and 4 for their composition!
