Disregarding the steroids issue, Bonds is just an overall jerk. He is an ass in the clubhouse, he is a jerk to the fans, and he absolutely hates the press.
I remember when Jose Canseco's book came out and everyone in baseball, and I mean almost everyone, called it a pack of lies. My, how things have changed. Most of what Canseco wrote has been proven to be true.
I saw a great shot the other day on a sports site, I wish I could remember which one. It was during the wild celebration in the stands that followed Bonds breaking the record. In the midst of all the hoopla sat a lone man with his head bowed. On his cap he had printed the word, "Ashamed." That pretty much sums it up for a lot of baseball fans out here.
