Please forgive if there has already been threads about this before....

But I recently found my knack for photography. I mostly interested in action shooting.

I just need some recommendations for a beginner. What kind of camera to start off with? Any good books out there? Etc.

    Your help would be appreciated!:D

Yea. NUMEROUS topics. Topics on this same page. Im not one to go the old "Use the search" function but seriously. . .just browse the first three pages and all these questions should be addressed one way or another.

I'm not one usually to say use the search either because everyone has different needs and goals and sometimes different questions. But if it was me I would come into a question like this with a good background of knowledge.

What exactly you want to do and what it takes to accomplish it.

Types of cameras to choose from? Point and shoot or digital SLR?

Budget? How much are you willing to spend on your hobby? This question is going to be based on what you want to do and how into photography you want to be.

There are a ton of good photography books, beginner and more advanced. I can't really recommend any other than Understanding Exposure. I like to read a lot of stuff online, its cheaper. :D

    Good luck.
