bracketing

    Can others edit my Photos:
    Photos NOT OK to edit
    Have just finished rereading the manual for my new d80 and am wondering what is bracketing used for. I get what it does but why or when would u use it. I s it for making the hdr shots

    its for a few things. Firstly a major use is indeed for the creation of HDR and tonemapped images; secondly it allows for a quick shooting of 3 shots with slightly different exposures - sometimes the photographe might not be sure of a scene or the exposure which might work best - so a bracket of 3 shots gives them a spread to work from.
