I picked up this lens two day's ago and have found it a very difficult tool to work with, with it's slow speed and incredible weight.

Here are some samples from this new lens.

Thanks for looking.

Highlights on #2 are blown, but #1 and #3 are beautiful.

I love #1 so beautiful :thumbup::D

Highlights on #2 are blown,
It doesn't look like they are blown on my monitor, so I checked the histogram to be sure. They are not blown out.

I've shot with this lens before...it's great for wildlife. As with any big telephoto, it does take some getting used to and certainly some good techniques but it looks like you are doing well.

Thank you for the kind words everyone.
One more question, is it possible to get a hernia from lugging this thing around.:gah:
I may have too hire someone to carry this thing around for me. :)

Cheers.

Ian,

The Llama link was funny as hell. :) Thank you, and, I may just consider purchasing
two of them.

Cheers.

You need to get someone to knit you a lens pack for your llama. I would suggest that you rent the llama, but since you purchased the lens instead of renting it, I guess llama purchase also makes sense.
